About John H. Cross, CPA
John H. Cross is a Certified Public Accountant with a diverse career in both public and private accounting. His journey began at a public accounting firm, where he provided services to a broad range of industries, including medical, manufacturing, chemical, restaurant, real estate, and private equity.
John later transitioned to private accounting, assuming the role of Vice President of Finance at the John Theurer Cancer Center, a division of Hackensack Meridian Health. As the lead financial officer, he focused on cost optimization and the strategic use of equity and debt. His efforts resulted in improved margins and set the stage for the practice's rapid growth. This success enabled the launch of multiple related entities, including a value-based care start-up.
Under John's leadership, the oncology practice reached a significant milestone with a valuation and acquisition by a leading pharmaceutical company for $1.1 billion. His strategic decisions played a crucial role in the practice's success and eventual transition to a major industry player.
In addition to his professional achievements, John was appointed by the Governor of New Jersey to serve as a Commissioner of the Bergen County Board of Taxation.
He also serves as a Board Member of Homes For Veterans, Treasurer for a civil rights non-profit and various political organizations, all demonstrating his commitment to community and public service.
